About This Design
Scandinavian Modern
We balanced warm honey oak against crisp white walls and a glass balustrade to create a staircase that feels open and light. The double-height void is kept deliberately spare, letting the staircase sculptural form and a single large abstract artwork carry the space.
Design Tip
Mix glass and wood balusters on the same staircase run to maintain sightlines through the lower flight while adding warmth with spindles on the upper level. The transition point at the landing keeps each material in its strongest visual zone.

We positioned the U-shaped stair against the rear wall of the double-height void to free the adjacent floor plate for a working kitchen peninsula. The mezzanine balcony lands directly above the kitchen zone, tying both levels together without walls.
