Wood slat ceiling with LED strips tops a modern fast food area. Subway tile, menu displays.
Design Palette
A parallel wood slat ceiling with integrated LED strips guides.
About This Design
We elevated a standard fast food layout with architectural wood slat ceilings that run parallel to the service counter, guiding customers naturally toward the ordering point. White subway tile walls keep the space bright and easy to maintain, while integrated LED strip lighting between slats provides even, shadow-free illumination. The material palette stays simple and durable, built to handle high-volume daily traffic.
Design Tip
Run ceiling slats parallel to the primary customer path so the lines naturally draw eyes and feet toward the ordering counter. Integrate LED strips between every third or fourth slat rather than every gap to avoid over-lighting. This creates a rhythmic glow pattern that feels intentional rather than uniform.

Spatial Approach
The full-width wood slat ceiling acts as a unifying canopy over the long service counter below, with menu boards mounted at a slight forward angle for readability from the queue. The counter is divided into distinct service stations by vertical pillar breaks, directing customer flow left to right from ordering to pickup.
Best For
Quick-service restaurants, convenience store delis, or food court stalls that need to process high volume during peak hours. The clean material palette elevates fast food beyond typical franchise aesthetics.
