About This Design
We layered art deco geometry with living greenery to produce a dining room that feels both theatrical and organic. Navy wainscot panels and teal fan-pattern wallpaper set a deep, moody backdrop, while the ceiling garden overhead softens every hard edge. Mixed seating in cognac leather and dark upholstery gives each table its own character.
Design Tip
Install overhead greenery in modular planter trays so maintenance crews can swap sections without disrupting service. Choose trailing species like pothos and string of pearls that thrive in low-light, humidity-stable environments. This keeps the canopy lush year-round with minimal intervention.

Spatial Approach
Navy wainscot paneling on both long walls creates a corridor effect that the living plant ceiling overhead disrupts with organic texture, preventing the room from feeling like a tunnel. Bubble glass chandeliers hang at varying heights through the greenery, and the banquette on the right runs the full length while freestanding tables on the left allow flexible covers.
Best For
Upscale dining rooms, private event spaces, or hotel restaurants where atmosphere justifies a higher price point. The overhead plant canopy works for concepts that want a garden-room feeling in a windowless or low-light interior.
