Floor-to-ceiling gilded gallery wall on charcoal with dual facing sofas and olive accent niche

About This Design

Warm Transitional

We built this living room around a bold charcoal gallery wall filled with gilded landscape prints, balanced by an olive accent wall with arched built-in niches and oak floating shelves. The dual facing sofas create a conversational layout anchored by contrasting dark surfaces.

Design Tip

Use two contrasting accent walls on opposite sides of a room to create visual depth without overwhelming the space. Keep furniture neutral so the walls carry the color story.

Spatial Approach

The dual sofas face each other across the dark oak coffee table on a central axis. The gallery wall anchors one end while the olive niche wall anchors the other, creating balanced visual weight at both endpoints.
