About This Design

We paired the room's classic arched architecture with matte black metal frames, a light oak worktable, and black task chairs to create a space that feels both grounded and current. Wood slat paneling and trailing plants soften the contrast between traditional bones and modern furniture.

Position a shared worktable directly in front of a large window to maximize natural light for all seats while making the architectural feature the focal point of the room.

Spatial Approach

We centered the six-seat table directly under the arched window to draw the eye outward and maximize daylight. The wood slat wall with open shelves anchors the left side, while keeping circulation clear on the right for movement.
