Complete outdoor transformation with distinct bar, lounge, and dining zones
About This Design
We created distinct entertaining zones across this rooftop: a terracotta bar area, lounge seating with umbrella coverage, and open dining spaces, all unified by warm wood furniture and ambient lighting. The full layout showcases how to maximize rooftop potential by defining multiple use areas while maintaining visual flow. City skyline views serve as the backdrop to every zone.
Design Tip
Divide large rooftops into distinct zones with different functions: bar, lounge, and dining. Use consistent materials like teak and terracotta across zones to maintain visual unity while giving each area its own purpose and character.

Spatial Approach
The terrace is divided into three zones: a sheltered lounge with striped cushion sofas under a cantilever umbrella on the left, the circular terracotta bar with olive tree at center, and wishbone-chair dining along the railing on the right. Each zone operates at a different height and material finish, so guests naturally circulate between drinking, dining, and lounging without one group blocking another.
Best For
Hospitality operators designing a full-service rooftop that handles cocktail service, seated dining, and casual lounging simultaneously. The multi-zone layout works for venues expecting 30 to 50 guests who need distinct experiences within one continuous outdoor space.
