Oak slat wall with LED backlighting anchors the mixing console zone

About This Design

Contemporary Eclectic

We built this two-zone studio around contrasts that reinforce each other: warm honey oak slats meet a professional mixing console, teal velvet sits beside a cow-print chair with a gold frame, and the indoor workspace flows to an all-glass outdoor recording booth wrapped in bamboo greenery.

Design Tip

Install LED strip lighting behind a vertical slat wall panel rather than mounting it on the wall surface. The indirect glow adds depth and warmth to a workspace without creating glare on monitor screens or mixing console surfaces.

Spatial Approach

We divided the project into two connected zones. The indoor studio places the mixing desk against the slat wall, with the daybed behind for clear sightlines. The outdoor glass booth sits on the rooftop, acoustically separate but visually connected.
