About This Design

Organic Modern

We centered this space on raw wood and refined function. Flat oak panels anchor the seating accent wall while vertical slat panels frame the built-in media zone. We balanced warm wood tones with white plaster, black steel accents, and a marble-look backsplash to keep the palette grounded and polished.

Design Tip

Use flat wood panels on the main accent wall and switch to vertical slat panels for functional zones like built-ins. Layering two panel profiles from the same wood species creates visual depth without introducing new colors or materials.

Spatial Approach

The built-in media peninsula doubles as a room divider and coffee station, carving a clear media zone from the seating area. Positioning the sectional perpendicular to the window maximizes natural light on the textured rug without glare on the TV screen.

Best For

Designed for daily relaxation and media viewing, this space suits couples or small families who want a calm functional retreat. The integrated coffee station handles morning routines through evening wind-down without leaving the room.
