About This Design

Scandinavian Modern

Three separate offices were designed inside one house, each serving a distinct function while sharing a consistent palette of white, birch, and gray. Office A pairs two white standing desks with tan leather Eames-style chairs and a tall lit birch cubby unit that acts as both storage and room divider. Office B is a study library anchored by a full-wall birch bookshelf, white lower cabinets, an L-shaped desk, and a charcoal lounge chair with arched mirror for breaks. Office C is a dedicated gaming room with dual red-frame desks, black racing chairs, and a long espresso credenza for books and equipment.

Design Tip

When designing multiple home offices in one house, assign each room a primary function before selecting furniture. A shared color palette across all three spaces creates visual cohesion when doors are open, while distinct furniture choices (Eames chairs vs. racing chairs vs. lounge chair) signal each room's purpose immediately to anyone moving through the home.

Spatial Approach

Office A centers two desks on opposite walls with the birch cubby divider as the focal axis, allowing two people to work independently without facing each other. Office B places the L-shaped desk against the window for natural light and the full bookshelf wall on the perpendicular side to keep the sightline open. Office C uses a parallel dual-desk arrangement with the espresso credenza on the window wall, keeping floor space clear for chair movement.

Best For

Designed for a household where multiple family members work or study from home full-time. Office A handles professional remote work for two, Office B serves as a private study and reading library, and Office C supports gaming or creative work requiring two monitors and ergonomic racing chairs.
