About This Design

We designed this side patio as a compact outdoor room that borrows warmth through the glass-pane French doors. The teak sofa, woven chair, and fur throw create a casual living room feel that blurs the indoor-outdoor threshold. White brick and a black sconce keep the backdrop clean.
Design Tip
Position the sofa perpendicular to the door rather than facing it directly. Both sofa and chair then have a garden sightline while sheltered by the house wall. This also keeps the door path clear so you are not stepping over a coffee table to enter.
