About This Design
Warm Transitional
We anchored this foyer with a symmetrical console-and-ottoman arrangement that gives the entry both a storage moment and a seating function. The vertical shiplap wainscoting in a warm greige tone adds architectural depth to the lower wall without competing with the console composition above it.
Design Tip
Place two lanterns at slightly different heights on the console lower shelf. The asymmetry within a symmetrical console creates visual interest without breaking the formal entry feel.
