Full-height glass-door oak wardrobe wall with black steel frames

About This Design

Transitional Organic

We built this master walk-in around the tension between raw oak warmth and graphite restraint. The wardrobe wall uses black steel-framed glass doors to keep the hanging zone visible and airy. On the dressing corridor side, dark shiplap paneling and brass pendant lights create a gallery-like atmosphere.

Design Tip

Glass-door wardrobes appear lighter than solid panels because your eye passes through to the hanging clothes. Keep the interior finishes consistent so the glass zone reads as one deep system. Pair the glass wall with a solid, darker surface on the opposite side.

Spatial Approach

The wardrobe wall occupies the primary zone with floor-to-ceiling storage, hanging rails at two heights, and a lower drawer bank. The dressing corridor connects to a vanity alcove, keeping grooming separate from hanging storage. Traffic flows in one direction.

Best For

Master walk-in for two people sharing a wardrobe who want full-length hanging, a dedicated shoe and drawer bank, and a vanity station that keeps grooming products out of the main bathroom.
