Walk-in with LED-backlit glass wardrobe wall, cane vanity chair, and integrated floor mirror.
Design Palette
Three-tier amber LED strip lighting turns the glass wardrobe wall into a display case for every outfit.
About This Design
We built this walk-in around two contrasting but complementary systems: an LED-backlit glass wardrobe wall in cream with warm oak interiors, and an open oak shelving corridor with a floating vanity desk and full-length floor mirror. Amber strip lighting runs at the top, mid-point, and floor level of the glass wardrobe, making clothes and shoes readable at any hour. A cane chair and a square pouf ottoman add natural texture at the vanity end. Every material choice keeps the palette in cream, oak, and warm white so the space reads as a single cohesive room rather than a storage area.
Design Tip
Run LED strip lighting at three levels inside a glass wardrobe: header, mid-rail, and floor. The top strip highlights bags and hats, the mid rail lights hanging clothes, and the floor strip makes shoes immediately visible. Use warm 2700K strips to keep the cream and oak tones from going cool under light. This three-zone approach turns a wardrobe wall into a display that functions as both storage and ambient lighting for the whole room.

Spatial Approach
The room divides into two clear zones along its length. The glass wardrobe wall occupies the primary viewing wall, presenting hanging clothes, bags, and shoes behind backlit glass as if displayed in a boutique. The opposite corridor runs open oak shelving on both sides with hanging rods at double height. At the far end a floating vanity desk with a drawer sits centered under a full-length black-frame mirror, framing a seated grooming station. A neutral low-pile rug anchors the vanity zone without interrupting the sight line from entry to mirror.
Best For
Best suited for homeowners planning a walk-in closet that also serves as a daily dressing room. The LED-backlit glass wardrobe wall keeps formal and everyday pieces visible without searching. The integrated vanity desk with floor mirror handles makeup and styling inside the closet, freeing bathroom counter space. The cane chair and pouf ottoman make the space feel considered rather than purely utilitarian.
