About This Design
Dark Contemporary
We built this en-suite walk-in around dark walnut as the single dominant material, using it on every shelving bay, hanging section, and drawer front. The gray accent wall behind the entry door anchors the corridor. We carried the same wood veneer onto the TV wall in the dressing zone, blurring the line between wardrobe and bedroom lounge.
Design Tip
When every surface uses the same dark wood, add warm directional light inside each shelving bay. LED strips at the back of every shelf push light forward and reveal the grain texture, which makes the material read as warm rather than heavy. Keep the floor pale to reflect light upward.

The closet runs as a corridor between bedroom and dressing zone. Hanging and shoe shelving lines both walls of the passage, keeping the center aisle clear. At the far end, the TV wall with media ledge defines a seated dressing moment.
