Vertical oak slat TV panel flowing into a marble-topped bar cabinet
About This Design
This organic contemporary design features vertical oak slat TV panel flowing into a marble-topped bar cabinet. The palette draws from Warm Oak, White Marble, Warm Cream and Brass Accent tones, creating a cohesive visual story throughout the space. Designed as a open-plan tv and bar wall, every element works together to balance aesthetics with everyday function.
Design Tip
Finish the marble bar top with a penetrating stone sealer applied in two coats before use. The vertical oak slat panel beside it is forgiving, but an unsealed marble bar top stains in weeks.

Spatial Approach
The wall system runs left to right in two connected zones. The left zone centers a freestanding TV on a vertical slat oak panel, with a low shelf at base level for the media player and decorative objects. The slat pattern creates texture and depth without adding bulk, and the Roman shade window recess within the panel integrates the architecture into the composition. The right zone steps forward slightly as a bar cabinet with an oak frame, marble slab countertop, brass-finish faucet, and two tiers of open shelving backlit by warm LED strips against a Calacatta marble slab. The vertical slat language continues at the far right edge as a partial partition, linking both zones into a single continuous feature wall visible from the entry corridor.
Best For
Purpose-built for open-plan homes where the living room and informal bar or coffee station share a common wall. The slat panel anchors the TV zone without requiring a bulky console, while the bar cabinet serves daily beverage prep, display of glassware, and ambient LED lighting for evening gatherings. The marble backsplash raises the bar zone to a level of finish typically found in kitchens, signaling it as a dedicated hospitality feature rather than a sideboard with drinks. Works well in modern condos, large living-dining rooms, and basement entertainment spaces.

How does the vertical slat panel handle the TV mount?
Can the bar cabinet include a small sink and refrigerator?
