Powder blue shaker cabinets with oak LED-lit center bay
About This Design
This transitional classic design features powder blue shaker cabinets with oak LED-lit center bay. The palette draws from Powder Blue, Warm Oak, Soft White and Brushed Nickel tones, creating a cohesive visual story throughout the space. Designed as a built-in bedroom wardrobe, every element works together to balance aesthetics with everyday function.
Design Tip
Wire LED strips inside the oak center bay on a 2700K warm-white driver. The warmth flatters clothing colors better than cool-white and avoids making the powder blue cabinets look greenish.

Spatial Approach
The wardrobe spans approximately 8 feet with two closed shaker cabinet columns on each side and one open oak center bay. Upper closed panels sit above the center display section, maintaining a consistent top rail height across the full width. The center open section is divided into two columns of adjustable shelves above a shared hanging rail, providing both display and functional hanging. Crown molding at the ceiling ties the unit to the room architecture. The natural light source from a window to the right was factored into the LED placement to avoid overpowering the warm strip glow.
Best For
Designed for a primary bedroom or guest room where the owner wants wardrobe storage that doubles as a display feature. The open shelves accommodate bags, hats, and folded items while the closed cabinets store everything else. The LED lighting keeps the display section looking curated even in dim conditions, making the wardrobe a focal point of the room. The configuration suits one person's full wardrobe or a couple sharing with clear zone separation between the left and right closed columns.
