Bench Seat Media Wall

The media wall divides horizontally into two registers. The lower register is a continuous built-in bench platform with cushioned gray upholstery and a bank of flat-front white drawers running the full width, housing both storage and the structural base for the TV mount above. The TV floats on the white wall directly above the bench, visually anchored between the bench surface below and the cove-lit ceiling above. To the right, a floor-to-ceiling birch cubby grid provides open shelving in a five-by-five cell layout, adding vertical storage without overpowering the clean horizontal bench line. A dark cylindrical pouf sits at floor level as the only freestanding accent piece.

Best suited to narrow or galley-shaped living rooms where a sofa cannot face a wall without blocking circulation. The built-in bench doubles as additional seating for guests or as a reading perch beside the window. Under-seat drawers replace the need for a separate media console or sideboard, keeping the floor completely open. The cubby column handles books, plants, and display objects without requiring a separate freestanding bookcase.
