We anchored this study around a full-height dark grey built-in wall, carving a vertical backlit niche at center to showcase ceramics and books. The warm oak niche interior glows against charcoal panels, pairing with a single-pedestal desk and egg armchair for a restrained, purposeful workspace.
Design Tip
Install per-shelf LED puck lights inside a wood-lined niche to create depth and warmth against flat-panel cabinetry. Use warm-white 2700K LEDs to prevent a clinical feel and make ceramic objects glow naturally.
