About This Design
Warm Transitional
We used deliberate restraint in this room: one artwork, one pattern, and two lamp forms. The forest-green plaid bedding is the only color introduced into an otherwise white and black room, making it the visual anchor without any competing accent. The black iron arc lamps frame the bed symmetrically while their circular shades echo the white artwork mat.
Design Tip
If you want a calm bedroom but do not want it to feel sterile, choose one textile in a deep, saturated color and keep everything else in white or black. One olive plaid duvet in a white room creates more visual calm than five accents competing for attention. The restraint is the design.
