About This Design
Contemporary Mid-Century
We used a large-scale geometric canvas as the organizing element, then pulled black and cream tones into bedding, lamp bases, and accessories. The olive velvet daybed introduces color and a secondary use zone, creating a bedroom that functions as a personal retreat for reading and unwinding.
Design Tip
When using large-scale art, choose one accent color from the artwork and repeat it in at least two other surfaces. Here black from the canvas appears in lamp bases, curtain rods, and pillows, creating unity without formula.
