About This Design
Modern Farmhouse
We designed this closet system to feel like furniture rather than a construction afterthought. Gray-stained oak doors with clean panel profiles read as wardrobes. The open cubby center section puts everyday items within reach while closed doors hide seasonal storage. Recessed LED lighting makes every shelf visible without adding fixture clutter.
Design Tip
Mix closed doors with open cubbies at eye level. Doors hide the mess, cubbies put daily items in reach. Position lighting directly above the open sections so you can see everything at a glance.

The primary closet wall uses a symmetrical built-in system: tall double doors on each side for hanging and seasonal storage, with an open cubby section in the center for daily-access items like folded shirts, bags, and accessories. An adjacent hallway features dark espresso wardrobe panels floor to ceiling on both sides, creating a dedicated dressing corridor. Recessed spotlights in the ceiling illuminate each section evenly.
