About This Design

Japandi Natural

We anchored the design around a full-height vertical oak slat wall that wraps both the vanity and toilet zones. We paired a dark volcanic stone vessel sink with a floating white countertop for wabi-sabi contrast, then carried brass hardware and black matte fixtures throughout to unify warmth and edge.

Design Tip

Install vertical wood slats on a single feature wall rather than all four sides to preserve visual breathing room. Back-light the slats with warm LED strip at 2700K to amplify the amber wood grain without adding extra fixtures.

Spatial Approach

We zoned the bathroom into vanity and toilet areas using a partial dividing wall. The oak slat treatment bridges both sides as one continuous surface, making the compact footprint read as a cohesive whole rather than two separate spaces.
